About

American Gloam takes its name from the writings of Mississippi writer Larry Brown, who used the term to describe those momentary snapshots that occur unedited in the midst of heartbreak, headache, and/or inspiration. The main goal of this place is widespread: to capture underground literature both from me and hopefully from contributors, most of whom are based in the Southeastern region of the US. I hope it becomes a forum for the unpublished authors who are looking to place raw writing. In between stories and ideas there will also be selfish commentary on film and music, sometimes underground and independent, sometimes not, as well as whatever other aspects of society that seem to need more bloggy commentary. Feel free to email me with contributions, ideas, suggestions, insults, or accolades.
